THE DIVINE PURPOSE OF HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY
The Divine Purpose of the Heart Lights Ministry (Church) is to Unite Light Seekers, Light Workers and Light Bearers from all around the world, to work together to spread God’s Light to those who are willing to embrace It.  All of our members are “working” members, in that we are devoted to be “in loving service to God and ALL”  as Teachers, Healers, Counselors and/or Visionaries.  We endeavor to set an example for those who cross our Path by conveying Divine Love, Light, Joy, Peace, Compassion, Empathy, Understanding and Forgiveness for ALL, regardless of race, sex, color, spiritual beliefs and practices, social background and economic level.  We are dedicated to Helping our Planet and ALL Life Forms evolve by Nurturing our Wildlife and Assisting those who come to us with their Awakening and Ascension Process.

 THE HEART LIGHTS
In the beginning, when the Earth was created, we believe that Multi-Dimensional Portals were created in special areas around the world. . . portals which are called Heart Lights.  According to Divine Will and Purpose, these Heart Lights were NOT to emerge until the planet had reached a certain stage of its Spiritual Development (a stage when its Vibration would be between the Fourth and Fifth Dimensions).    The Primary function of these Heart Lights is to bring The Mahatma (God’s Divine Light/Essence) to the Earth . . . to merge with the Christ and Buddhic energies during the 2002 Wesak Festival.  This integration would allow ALL who choose to do so, the ability to experience God on Earth.  As more and more embrace The Mahatma and allow it to radiate out to others from their Heart Centers, this would serve to bring higher levels of Divine Love, Light, Understanding, Compassion, Empathy,  Forgiveness, Healing, Balance and Hope to our planet.

 MAYA OHM MAHATMA
In October of 2001, Rev. Whitney S Murdock experienced a Spiritual Transformation, during which she was given the name of Maya Ohm Mahatma and instructions for establishing the Heart Lights Ministry.  She was told about the Heart Lights.  She was told that the Mt. Shasta Heart Light was the only fully emerged Heart Light at the time and that she was the Guardian of the Mt. Shasta Heart Light.  She was also told that it would merge with the Heart Lights of Mu and Atlantis a week before the 2002 Wesak Festival.  At that time it would then be called the Mt. Shasta Trinity Heart Lights.   Maya Ohm was told that All other Heart Lights are interconnected with the Mt. Shasta Heart Light, and their locations will be released, one at a time, as those who have contracted to be their Guardians “Awaken” and accept their Ministry.  Her Ministry involved the Communion of all of the Heart Lights, for the good of ALL.

 THE CREED OF HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY
During her Spiritual Transformation, Maya Ohm Mahatma was inspired to make some minor revisions to the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi, and to adopt this prayer as the Creed for Heart Lights Ministry. 

I AM an Instrument of Peace.
Where there is Hatred . . . I sow Love.
Where there is Injury . . . I offer Pardon.
Where there is Doubt . . . I give the Gift of Faith.
Where there is Despair . . . I shine the Light of Hope.
Where there is Darkness . . . I AM the Light to Light the Way.
Where there is Sadness . . . I fill ALL Hearts with Joy.
I no longer seek to be Consoled . . . for I am here to Console.
I no longer need to be Understood . . . for I am here to Understand.
I no longer worry about being Loved . . . For I AM Love.
I no longer seek Forgiveness . . . For I AM Forgiveness.
In Giving, We Receive . . . In Receiving, We Give.
In Pardoning . . . We are Pardoned.
We are One in the Love and Light of ALL that IS.
And so, we Unite on Earth to spread Divine Love, Light,
Compassion, Empathy, Peace, Understanding, Joy, Healing
Forgiveness and Hope for ALL who choose to accept,
According to Their Divine Will and Purpose.

ARTICLES OF ORGANIZATION

The following Articles represent our current Beliefs, Structure and Intentions.  However, as we continue to evolved (Spiritually, Mentally, Physically and Emotionally) through Experiences, Awakenings and  Enlightenment,  some of the Beliefs mentioned here may be changed, enhanced or completely disregarded.
 

I.   NAME
The name of our organization shall be:  HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY

II.      LOCATION
The place in the state of California where the National Headquarters of HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY is to be located is at 43527 Sierra Center Drive in the City of Fall River Mills, Shasta County.

III.           BELIEFS
While HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY honors ALL belief systems, our members ALL share common beliefs, including, but not limited to the following:

       A.  ALL life forms on this planet have Divine Will and a Purpose and should, therefore, be honored and respected for the roles they have agreed to play and the contracts they have made.
B.      We believe that ALL paths lead to God, and that we each have our unique Truths, based on our unique paths and rate of spiritual evolution.  We also believe that in order to achieve “Enlightenment” it is important that we strive to embrace only those Truths that we experience as our Truths, rather than embrace the Truths of others.
C.      As Extensions (Aspects/Essences) of God, we are simultaneously co-existing in many Dimensions and Realities . . . including alternate Earth Realities.  And, as we continue to Awaken and achieve Enlightenment, we become more and more aware of these co-existences.
D.      As Extensions (Aspects/Essences) of God,  we were chosen to participate in what we call The Great Earth Experiment - lowering our vibration to that of the Third Dimension in order to fully experience this physical dimension with all of its illusions of Ego, Time, Space and Duality.  The Divine Purpose of this Experiment is to Serve God by Raising the Vibration of The Whole through our experiences, or Awakening and Ascension back to our Higher Dimensional Existences.
E.       Since this is a Planet of Free Choice, it is important that we learn to accept responsibility for the choices we make, and that we consider how our choices affect the lives and well-being of others before we make them.
F.       Since we are all Extensions (Aspects/Essences) of God, we are all interconnected.  Not one Life Form is greater or lesser than the other.  However, because of the choices we make, we are each evolving spiritually at different rates of vibration.  Because of this, it is important that we strive to embrace Divine Love, Light, Compassion, Understanding, Empathy and Forgiveness towards ALL, and in all aspects of our lives.
G.      All things happen Perfectly, in accordance with Divine Will and Purpose.

 IV.            THE “HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY” WEBSITE
Since our Primary Goal is to Unite Light Seekers, Light Servers and Light Bearers from around the world, we have found that the most viable way of  doing this is by interconnecting through the Internet.  And so, we have created the “Heart Lights Ministry” Website, through which we are continually drawing new members.

Our Website offers Online Heart Lights Communions in our Temple (a private chatroom), independent counseling and healing, classes in Usui Reiki and Karuna Reiki as well as other Healing and Wholing modalities, Meditations, Projects and a host of other activities.

We have on our Website a “Heart Lights Awakening Message Board,” through which we connect with our members and perspective members.  We use this Message Board for making announcements for future events, and for sharing guidance from the Masters and Angels and Maya Ohm Mahatma.  Our Members use the Message Board for sharing their experiences, requesting prayers and healing for themselves, their friends, families and others, and for expressing their Divine Love and Support for ALL.

Our Website also has a Sanctuary where Members can go to meditate.   There are several meditation rooms in the Sanctuary, and new ones are added from time to time.  In addition, we have on our website Prayers, Invocations and Ceremonies which assist our Members in Healing and Balancing themselves and their lives.

Finally, we present (from time to time) Projects that can be done by our Members at their own time and place which serve to assist ALL Life Forms in one way or another.  Two examples of these Projects are the United Peace Project (where our Members devote a few minutes each day in praying for Peace throughout the world) and our Hope Now Project (which stands for “Help Our Planet Evolve: Nurture Our Wildlife.”  Through this project we send prayers and energy to our Wildlife to assist them in dealing with the many challenges affecting them and the planet at this time).

 V.                ACTIVITIES
HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY holds various activities including, but not limited to, the following:

 A.      Heart Light Communions which include Prayer, Chants, Meditation, Healing Circle and Peace Circle.  These are held every week and on special occasions.
B.      Reiki Connections where Reiki Practitioners Gather to give each other Reiki and to send Distance Healing to those who request it.  These are held twice a month.
C.      Usui and Karuna Reiki Training, Attunements and Certification.  These are done privately and with small classes and are by appointment.
D.      Meditations.  Various Meditations are done throughout the week by our Members on a personal level, and Online as a group on an average of once a week.
E.       United Peace Project – where members around the world send prayers and energies of Divine Love, Light, Understanding, Forgiveness and Peace throughout the world.  This is done daily on an individual basis and twice a month, Online, as a group.
F.       Weddings, Funerals, Christenings, Light Bearer Initiations and Ordinations.
G.      Hope NOW Project (Helping Our Planet Evolve; Nurturing Our Wildlife), where we assist the Earth, its Flora and) its fauna by restoring balance and nurturing our Wildlife.  This is done daily on an individual basis and twice a month, Online, as a group.
H.    Annual Mt. Shasta Celebrations of Divine Light and Loving Service.  These Celebrations are usually during the first weekend in October and last from Thursday through Sunday.  Light Seekers, Light Servers and Light Bearers come from all over the world to participate in this Celebration, as it is FREE and gives them an opportunity to share their unique talents, gifts, visions and Divine Presence, in loving service to ALL.
I.       Any other activities which will serve to assist others in their Healing, Balancing, Awakening and Ascension, as long as these activities do not conflict with the freedoms of others or are contrary to the laws of our City, County, State and Governments.

 VI.            STRUCTURE
HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY is established as an International “Working” and “In Service” Ministry, consisting of members from all around the world.  ALL of our members actively participate in assisting those who seek Healing, Balancing, Awakening, Enlightenment and Ascension.

While our National Headquarters is located at 231 Arlington Way, Vacaville, California, we consider the entire planet our “Church” . . . our mecca for prayer, healing, counseling, meditation, teaching, counseling and visionary work.

At this time, our means for Global Communication is through the Internet and our website.  However, our Ministers, Light Servers and Deacons are empowered to facilitate “Live and In Person” Classes, Meditations, Counselings, Healings and other projects of the HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY in or near their individual hometowns and/or nearest Heart Light.

 VII.        MEMBERSHIP
HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY is open to all who choose to be “in loving service to The One and All,” regardless of race, sex, color, spiritual beliefs, social background and economic level.  Our Membership is not a formal one, and we do not require Dues of any kind.  However, we are always open to receiving “Love Offerings” and Donations.

Since we believe that none is greater or lesser than another, we do not have a Hierarchy.  However, we do believe that our members have unique roles to play, and so we have established what we lovingly refer to as our Non-Hierarchy, which includes the following:

LIGHT SEEKER
A Light Seeker is one who is seeking his or her unique Truths and Divine Purpose.   While on this Path, one "Awakens" to and embraces spiritual contracts which continually serve to Raise the Vibration of The Whole.  Since we are always "Awakening" to new Truths and Insights, ALL who choose the Path of Light are Light Seekers, even if they have taken on other roles/contracts.

LIGHT SERVER
A Light Server is One who has "Awakened" to being "in loving service to The One and All" either as a, Teacher, Counselor, Healer, Visionary or Prophet.

LIGHT BEARER
A Light Bearer is One who has "Awakened" to a unique contract of assisting the Guardians of the Heart Lights.   Each Light Bearer is drawn to and resonates with the energies of a specific Guardian and Heart Light.  However, there ARE Light Bearers who have contracted to be Emissaries of the Heart Lights and who will travel from one Heart Light Village to another, assisting in whatever way their contracts ordain.

 GUARDIAN
A Guardian is One who has "Awakened" to the contract of working with a Specific Heart Light as it emerges.  ALL Guardians of the Heart Lights will resonate with the energies of the HEART LIGHT MINISTRY,  The Mahatma and its Divine Purpose.

DEACON
A Deacon is a Light Bearer who has "Awakened" to and embraced the contract of assisting the Ministers and/or Mahatma with the work of the HEART LIGHT MINISTRY as well as assisting the Guardian of a Heart Light.   Deacons perform similar duties as those of the Ministers with the exception that they are not ordained, and cannot perform weddings, funerals, ordinations, christenings or any of the Official Rites of the Ministry.

Light Bearer’s are invited to become Deacons by The Mahatma, either at their request or the request of a Minister or other member of the High Council.  Once a Light Bearer is ordained as a Deacon, he or she remains a Deacon until Death or Retirement.  Upon Death or Retirement, it is not necessary for a Deacon to be replaced, as the number of Deacons depends entirely on Divine Will and Purpose.

MINISTER
A Minister is a Light Server or Light Bearer who has requested to serve as an Official Minister of the HEART LIGHT MINISTRY.  Once approved, and after completing the required training, the Minister is Ordained by The Mahatma, and can perform weddings, funerals, ordinations, christenings or any of the official Rites of the Ministry.  In addition, the Minister will attend as many online functions presided over by The Mahatma as is possible.  The Minister represents the highest level of Service and Spirituality, and serves as an example for all who choose the Path of "Awakening" and Ascension.

Requirements for Ordination as a Minister of HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY:

       A.      Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college, or the equivalent in background and experience as a Healer, Teacher and/or Counselor.
B.      The desire to be “In Loving Service to The One and All” and without financial compensation.
C.      Initiate must meet any age requirements for performing weddings, ordinations, christenings and funerals.
D.      Demonstration of honor and respect for all life forms.
E.       Certification that the Initiate has successfully completed training in the beliefs, practices and Divine Purpose of HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY and in the duties expected of a Minister.
F.       Initiate must have facilitated at least 3 Daily Blessings and 1 Gathering at HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY, under the supervision of The Mahatma or another Minister of the ministry.
G.      Initiate must have read, fully comprehend and honor all that is stated in the ARTICLES OF ORGANIZATION FOR THE  HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY

 The Minister remains a minister until Death or Retirement.  Upon Death or Retirement, a minister is not replaced, as the number of Ministers depends entirely on Divine Will and Purpose.

 THE MAHATMA
The Mahatma is the one who has been chosen by God and who has accepted the position of leading the HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY.  Upon Ordination by the Masters and Angels, The Mahatma will be given a spiritual name.  This name is to precede the title of  (The) Mahatma, thus signifying that the person is more important than the title.

 Maya Ohm is The Mahatma for Heart Lights Ministry and has been christened with the spiritual name of Maya Ohm.  Therefore, she is called:  Maya Ohm (The) Mahatma. 

The Mahatma assumes full responsibility for all aspects involved with this Position.  Venerated for great knowledge and a love of humanity, The Mahatma must always endeavor to set the highest of examples as one who embraces Divine Love, Light, Understanding, Compassion, Empathy and Acceptance of ALL Life forms.  The Mahatma is a Light Seeker, a Light Server, a Light Bearer, Guardian of the Mt. Shasta Heart Light, a Deacon and a Minister, and presides over the High Council. 

As such, The Mahatma is responsible for all aspects of HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY, including maintaining appropriate and correct accounts of its properties, assets, liabilities, receipts, disbursements, gains and losses.  However, The Mahatma may obtain assistance from other members of HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY who volunteer to be of service without compensation.

 In the event The Mahatma is unable to perform a specific function of the Ministry, The Mahatma may assign another member to perform the function as long as that member is fully qualified for that specific function, and is willing to perform the function without compensation (“in loving service”).

 The Mahatma holds office until Death or Retirement.  If at all possible, the Successor of The Mahatma will be chosen by God, through The Mahatma.  Should The Mahatma die before choosing a Successor, a new Mahatma will be chosen by The High Council, after meditation and careful consideration of those candidates from among the HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY who are Ordained Ministers and Light Bearers for the Mt. Shasta Heart Light.

 All succeeding Mahatmas shall be given a spiritual name by the Masters and Angels, and their Title will always follow their spiritual name to signify that the person is more important than the title.

THE MAHATMA INITIATE
The Mahatma Initiate is chosen by The Mahatma and approved by the Council of Elders as the successor for The Mahatma should The Mahatma either dies, retires or must take a Leave of Absence for Health or Personal reasons. 

If this happens, the Mahatma Initiate will embrace all of the responsibilities of The Mahatma and should be fully honored and supported by the Council of Elders.

 THE COUNCIL OF ELDERS
 The Council of Elders consists of the Guardians, Deacons, Ministers and Mahatma.  The purpose of the High Council is to support The Mahatma in all areas related to HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY - offering counsel, opinions and recommendations when it is appropriate to do so.  However, the final decisions regarding any aspect of HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY will always be made by The Mahatma.

  Members of The High Council remain members until either Death or Retirement.  Should a member of The High Council either die or retire, he or she will not be replaced.  There is no set number of members of The High Council, because members of The High Council are automatically determined by those who choose to embrace the roles of Guardians, Deacons, Ministers and The Mahatma.

 VIII.      FINANCIAL SUPPORT
HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY firmly believes in being “in loving service to God and All.  We have faith that we will be provided for as long as we remain “in loving service.”  However we also realize that we must have financial support in order to continue to do our work.  Our primary avenues of financial support include:

        A.      Love Offerings from members and non-members. 
B.      Donations from members and non-members. 
C.      Monies received as Energy Exchanges for Classes and Seminars.
D.      Grants from Foundations, Corporations and/or Individuals who normally award grants for programs such as our Sanctuary, Hospice, Seeing Heart Dog Program and our Heart Light village.

Because our members are “In Loving Service to The One and All,” no part of any monies received by HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY will inure to the benefit of, or be distributed to its members.  However,  The Mahatma is authorized and empowered to make donations from HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY funds  to organizations which qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

 IX.  RESTRICTIONS
No substantial part of the activities of HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY shall be the carrying on of propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and we shall not participate in, or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office.  Not-with-standing any other provision of these Articles of Organization, we shall not, except to an insubstantial degree, engage in any activities or exercise any powers that are not in furtherance of its beliefs and purposes.

 X.  DISSOLUTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF ASSETS
If, for any reason, HEART LIGHTS MINISTRY is dissolved, all assets shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

 XI.             AMENDMENTS
These Articles of Association may be amended by The Mahatma for clarification of certain beliefs and items that are stated in these Articles or to adopt additional articles which are in complete harmony with the stated Divine Purpose of Heart Lights Ministry.
