ALTERNATE HAND POSITIONS

1. After working the Crown Chakra and Third Eye Chakra, we have found it a most relaxing experience to cup your right hand over the clients right ear and your left hand over the client's left ear. Hold this position for as long as you wish.

2. After working the Crown Chakra and Third Eye Chakra, gently roll the head to one side and place your right hand under the right side of the head with the fingertips on the occipital ridge (base of skull). Roll head to the other side and do the same with your left hand. Hold this position for as long as you wish.

3. I request that my initiates include the knees and feet in their Basic Treatment. You would work the right knee after finishing the Root Chakra, then the right foot and ankle, then the left foot and ankle, then the left knee (before working the Root Chakra from the other side.)

In working the knees you can either: a) place one hand alongside the kneecap and the other on the opposite side; b) place one hand underneath the knee and the other on top of the kneecap; or c) place hands side by side directly over the kneecap.

In working the feet, cup each ankle between your hands. Then place one hand under the foot and cup the other over the arch of the foot. Finally, cup the toes between your hands.

As I said before, you can't do anything wrong with Reiki. If you are guided to place your hands in a certain way or over a certain part of the body, then please do so. Remember, by receiving the Reiki attunements, your consciousness is continuously being raised the more you give Reiki. Also, your intuitive abilities are becoming stronger and stronger. Trust in them, and you will enhance your treatments beyond expectations.

Many people have neck and shoulder problems as well as elbow and hands. You can work the elbows and hands like you do the knees and the feet. The neck problems should be worked after the client has turned over on his/her stomach. You can cup your hands, palms touching, over the back of the neck, or place them side by side with one hand around the neck and the other on the back of the head. If you are guided to place your hands in any other positions, know that this is right and follow your guidance.
