ON BEING CERTIFIED

      Now that you are a Reiki Practitioner, anytime you touch someone or something, the Universal Life Force Energy turns on and begins to flow.  However, don't be disillusioned if, after you earn your First Degree Certification, you occasionally experience physical or emotional distress.  Reiki is not Nirvana or Heaven.  Nor is it omnipresent bliss (although compared to how some people choose to suffer and how segments of the medical community treat certain ailments, it may seem like Nirvana or Heaven to the healed client).

      "Dis"ease and subsequent ailments will remain an aspect of mass consciousness for a while longer in this world's reality.  So, when you find yourself in a lowered energy state, please remember to give yourself Reiki.  And, please do not hesitate to request the aid of other Reiki therapists to reinforce and accelerate the Universal Life Force Energy flow in you.  Remember what Jesus of Nazareth said:  "Where two or more are gathered . . . "

      The increase of Universal Life Force Energy through Reiki affects more than your physical and emotional health.  Always remember what I said earlier in this manual.  The primary function of Reiki is to raise consciousness.  The secondary function of Reiki is to facilitate healing, harmony and balance.  Reiki is an impetus to spiritual growth.  Follow the happenings of life.  They will lead you to places and people who will promote inner growth and help you to raise your vibration and the vibration of the Whole, according to your Divine Will and Purpose.

      Focal points or priorities of living will now be altered for you.  More and more, you will find a quiet honesty about your actions and your lifestyle.  Be prepared for growth and spiritual healing.

       So . . .

      Use your hands while mixing foods.

      Use your hands to vitalize and cleanse water.

      Use your hands to facilitate healing in all of its myriad forms.

      Your touch will feel good to others, too.  Go hug lots of people!

      Be prepared to experience growth, consciousness expansion and spiritual strength.
